Action for Blind People is one of the largest charities in the UK providing free and confidential support for blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of their lives.
We are dynamic and have a reputation for talking less and doing more. Driven by the needs of visually impaired people, we deliver what people say they need, not just what we think they need.
Our mission is to inspire change and create opportunities to enable people with sight loss to have equal voice and equal choice. Action for Blind People is more than just a name - it is what we do.

Dering Employment Services is the only deaf-owned and deaf-run employment service for deaf, hard of hearing and deaf/blind people in the UK. We were set up by a deaf person who recognised a gap in the market for quality employment advice for deaf people.
We provide a wide range of advice for deaf people in looking for work, supporting you with your business idea, advice on becoming self-employed and can even help you with recruiting when you are ready to employ your own staff.

Enterprising Minds – Fredericks Foundation was one of the thirteen pilot projects around the country designed to focus specifically on people with mental health conditions who wish to become self employed, their target clients being based in Wandsworth, Southwark, Lambeth, Kingston and Merton.
The range of businesses considered are wide, however clients with mental health issues tend to either use existing skills in a more independent way or they look to businesses that offer a less stressful way of life i.e. gardener, painter & decorator and alternative therapist.
Wideaware was set up to address a shortage of blended learning and synchronous e-learning approaches to disability equality in the UK. Our aim is to promote disability equality by providing training packages that offer the convenience of e-learning combined with the support and interaction of face-to-face training.
Our training packages can combine online and face-to-face training sessions or be undertaken purely online with the support of a facilitator. Interaction with other online learners and the facilitator(s) is a key component of the training experience we provide.
